  did anyone else fall for this one?

  i did pre-assembly work in my home town, this was obviously voluntary unpaid work.

  i continued to do part-time work helping to support my mom who has been recently abandoned by my elder dad,.

  a 69-year-old thousand oaks man facing multiple sexual abuse charges by the ventura county district attorney’s office was arrested last week, authorities said.. steven skyler abbott was arrested dec. 6 after months of investigation into the reported sexual abuse of two thousand oaks girls, according to the ventura county sheriff’s office.

  in november, the ventura county district attorney’s office filed multiple felony sexual abuse charges against abbott, including two counts of continuous sexual abuse, one count of lewd acts upon a child and one count of forcible lewd acts upon a child.. he is also facing multiple felony enhancements and special allegations related to his charges.. the investigation began in september, when the sheriff’s agency received a report of suspected child crimes.. a 16-year-old victim alleged that she was sexually abused by abbott when she was between the ages of 5 and 11, sheriff’s officials said.. sexual assault unit detectives subsequently identified a second, 24-year-old victim who reported that abbott had abused her when she was between the ages of 3 and 7, authorities said.. the sheriff’s agency said the victims and their families had come into contact with abbott through the kingdom hall of jehovah’s witnesses in newbury park.. investigators submitted their findings to prosecutors, who filed felony sexual abuse charges against abbot on nov. 16, officials said.. on nov. 28, an arrest warrant was issued for abbott.. the suspect was eventually arrested at his home on dec. 6 and booked into ventura county jail.

  Good point Birdie regarding JWs recruiting paedophile prisoners. The JWs will applaud the miraculous "conversion" of the criminal and praise Jerhoover, ignoring the fact that with child abusers, a repetition of the offence is likely --this time inside the congregation.

  well i consider all of his books fictional but that's another story :-).

  a while back i read about a novel that i understood was published by wt and there was some sort of connection with da judge.. i remember i found it online and was going to look through it but never got the chance.. now i can't find it and for the life of me i can't remember the name of it or the author.. unfortunately, google isn't helping.. it was about life before the flood.. anyone able to help?.

  If JW meetings are targeted by paedophiles, a consequence would be that some of them, enjoying the welcome and numbers of victims present, will also be joining the org-- which seems to be the case.

  A response from the GB could be yet a further excuse to finish with KH meetings altogether. (I imagine that the book study in private homes must have led to too much intimacy among believers?)

  "So the way forward brothers is with TV broadcasting". This would allow collecting an enormous sum from the sale of the halls and it would be explained away with some scripture or other to the satisfaction of all the flock-- who are duty bound to believe whatever they are told.

  It's a win-win situation. The GB would get their hands on the money and the rest of the organisation rots on the vine.

  i left wt, 18 years ago.

  never thought that i would have witness such a massive doctrinal and structure changes as well.

  i find it hard to recognize that religion.. what i can tell, like all of ex jw's is that wt going down.. their corporate directors know it.

  I wonder how many of the governing body are PIMO?

  Yes they are all as thick as thieves and have blind loyalty in their DNA so how could any one of them defect?

  As a financial strategy only one of them, the first one and only he, would be able to spill the beans and get a financial reward by a block buster book revealing the nasty cult just before it sinks below the horizon in the 21st century. This could be done to great applause and respect from the ever growing army of ex-JWs.

  So trembling and as yet undecided GB member: take courage and DO IT! .........you will become our life-long hero!

  i came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.

  i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.

  my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.

  Cyber hugs to you Leeny. How can a religion be right which condemns a person not only for having their own thoughts on things but condemns a person for being themselves? Heterosexuals in the past and the stupid Bible have a lot to answer for.

  So don't worry about being wrong, you are not wrong it is the JW cult that is very wrong on virtually everything! Most of us here have found that choosing and taking our own path in life is a liberating experience. It does take courage at first (because of the fear instilled) and we need determination to succeed but by being with sensible non JWs we can eventually get to where we want to be.

  I would say that if you can find your own place away from your parents as well as away from the congregation, you might still be able to fade. If they denounce you from the platform you will (like me) be considered an apostate. Ultimately; so what! It's your life-- Jehovah's Witnesses are a pathetic cult which steals lives, the ball is in your court and nobody can stop you choosing what you want to do.

  in the december 2018 jw broadcasting episode, jehovah's witnesses are told to put faith in the faithful and discreet slave(once again), have admiration for angels, expect a gradual future resurrection, consider jesus in his preexisting life and how he learned from god to exercise love.

  The "faithful and discreet slave" is nothing more than a character in a moral tale from a christ cult of the first century. The term has been appropriated by the Watchtower/JW org attempting to describe their own pivotal role as the exclusive servant of God in dispensing spiritual sustenance.

  Where has the JW org any evidence to show for this outrageous claim? Since their doctrines are never consistently the same, we can say that their spiritual food has always been "off". How could an almighty god use this unreliable bunch of preachers? Pull the other leg.

  How about "admiration for angels"?

  Come on we are out of pre-school now. Angels are just oversize fairies!

  "Expect a gradual resurrection"?

  Think honestly and don't be gullible, this is so outside of any possible human or known experience as to be of the nature of total fable. Sure you would like to believe it but really it's never going to happen is it? The bald fact is we do all die, there is no mechanism possible for returning us to life UNLESS you believe in fantasy and magic.

  "Jesus' prehuman life"

  It's another fantasy an old story not a fact and it's first found centuries before the Bible was written in ancient texts describing solar mythology-- and therefore a fiction. (The Sun God has a son who is the "exact representation of his very being"--reflected in the water)

  The JW organisation trades in Biblical myth and magic and gives a false hope to millions, that's how they make their money-- but they have proved to be wrong in everything they have ever promised.

  Has it not dawned on you yet that the words Bible and "purity" are two opposites? The Bible demands total allegiance to unprovable invisible spirits. The god of the Bible is a tyrant.

  For a change try critical thinking instead of "faith", these are also opposites but you cannot have both.

  Then you might see that Christianity began as a cult relying on people's credulity to believe sacred myths to escape the hard facts of life and especially mortality-- and it has never changed in this.

  You then might be able to grasp that when the Bible was first collated in the fourth century-- it was a political tool of Imperial Rome, Rome the epitome of total control.

  Research and reason are infinitely better than belief in myth as most on this site have concluded.
